Alderney Cancer
Relief (ACR) is registered with the Guernsey Registry no.CH084, and
the Association of Guernsey Charities no.083.
The charity was
founded in 1980 as the “John Crawford Memorial Fund” to help
alleviate the financial stress of island patients needing to travel
to either Guernsey or Southampton for treatment and was renamed Alderney
Cancer Relief in 1992 to be more synonymous with its aims.
ACR is run on an
entirely voluntary basis and administered by:

The charity’s main
area of help is to provide financial and practical assistance for
cancer patients residing in Alderney associated with off island
treatment and care, when most patients must travel to either
Southampton or Guernsey.
The charity was
honoured to receive
the Queen’s Jubilee Award for Voluntary Service
in 2015.
